Driving Mex 1 in anything wider than a compact car isn’t for the faint of heart. Even though this is our 8th trip down this highway, we really can’t say it gets easier with time—oncoming semis and passing are still white knuckle events! To break the stress we took a short side trip down a rutted dirt road outside of El Rosario to La Lobera—a sea cave full of (big surprise) sea lions. Wisdom gained from the school of hard knocks eventually told us the road was too steep and curvy for Livingstone—and we actually listened! We walked the last couple of miles.
